Social Corporate Responsibility

We take our social corporate responsibility extremely seriously. We aim to match pound for pound our entertainment expenses with a charitable donation to charity. One of the charities we donate to is The Jimmy Mizen Foundation. This charity was set up with the aim to remember Jimmy Mizen who was sadly murdered in May 2008. A charity we hold close to our hearts, the Jimmy Mizen organization aims to make young people safe from danger through community involvement and by ensuring they understand the potential of their future.

The Ginger Nut Media £10 Challenge To get pupils at local schools raising money for St Helena Hospice, Ginger Nut Media gave teams of future entrepreneurs £10. With this, they were challenged to raise as much money as they could. There were several awards for students ranging from most amount raised to most innovative idea. Find out more here.

The Brathay Challenge The latest apprentices at Ginger Nut Media are participating in the Brathay Apprenticeship Challenge 2015. They hope to be the best of the 80 nationwide teams entered. Their challenge is to raise awareness of apprenticeships and organise a community project or event. To accomplish this they’ve been visiting schools and events to talk about apprenticeships and organised a charity event over Easter. The event was a football tournament to raise awareness and money for Combat Stress, the UK’s leading Veterans’ mental health charity. Teams paid a small fee to enter the tournament additionally, various Easter treats were for sale. We are happy to say that they raised over £300 for the charity.
